Design & Engineering for Deployable Structure

Future Wife was commissioned by a private client to design and engineer a deployable structure that met certain criteria of function and comfort, while maintaining an unorthodox aesthetic. The structure would be erected by inflation; creating shelter within, shade under the tie-down canopies, and an interesting surface to explore above. Lighting was designed to be low-voltage and heat-free, and to create the soft, warm light of a campfire, but diffused in all directions.
